Houseplant Swap
How it works:
1) Bring any plants you have managed to propagate (or who have propagated themselves) to the event, or any plants you would like to give away.
2) Look for cute plants you want in your space and take them home
(Note: you don't need to bring a plant to take a plant, but the more the better!)
Climate Action in BC Presented by Ryan Mackie Presenter Ryan Mackie will share how current greenhouse gas emissions targets, and our progress on the transition to net zero, stand up to the latest climate science. Ryan Mackie leads development and application of tools for carbon and ecological footprint analysis at BCIT’s Centre for Ecocities. He has over 20 years of experience developing technology and working with organizations on sustainable solutions. Ryan has extensive background in renewable technologies, mathematical modelling, research and analysis. In addition to his role at BCIT, he is Principal of CHRM Consulting and a Senior Associate with Green Spark Group. This event will be online, a group viewing will be hosted in the Summit Centre, a light lunch will be provided. |

Drop in and join us to play some climate change themed board games
Hot drinks and snacks will be provided. Please bring your own mug.
Climate Fresk Workshop
In just 2.5 hours, the Climate Fresk workshop will teach you the fundamental science behind climate change and empower you to take action. Whether you are new to the subject or very familiar, you are going to learn something.
The Fresk is suitable for all audiences and all levels of understanding. It addresses both novices and the more aware who wish to deepen their knowledge on climate issues.
