Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

The Activating Inclusion Toolkit is designed to support units across UBC in incorporating equity, diversity, and inclusion into their strategic planning, priority initiatives, and systems and structures more broadly. The toolkit is an evolving library of tools, guides, and resources that support inclusion planning and implementation – as well as inclusive processes.

Learning module designed to further your understanding of anti-Black racism in the healthcare professions and to provide you with resources to combat and address racism in learning and teaching spaces.

The ICRC will collect books, articles, websites, and audio-visual materials on Indigenizing curriculum and Indigenous pedagogy, in addition to post-secondary curriculum resources. These materials will centre Indigenous approaches to teaching and learning, and support the work of Indigenizing and Decolonizing curriculum at SFU.

The purpose of this Toolkit is to support post-secondary educators to encourage a sense of belonging in the classroom. Research suggests that students who experience a sense of belonging have higher grade point averages lower attrition rates and higher graduation rates.

WISEST (Women in Scholarship, Engineering, Science and Technology) exists to promote equity, diversity and inclusion for women and gender minorities in STEM fields. As student populations become more and more diverse, WISEST, along with educators, teachers and parents, can work to empower young women and gender minorities by reducing barriers to equity, diversity and inclusivity in STEM fields.

Using the most current quantitative data about faculty earnings and appointments, as well as qualitative data from over 50 interviews with women graduate students and faculty in STEM disciplines, the Women in Academia Project examines the representation, remuneration and experience of women faculty at Canadian universities.
