Mechanical Engineering: Trade Publications

Trade Publications

Trade publications are a great stepping-stone between books/encyclopedias, and journal articles. Commonly published by industry bodies at regular intervals (similar to magazines), they feature articles authored by people who typically hold a Bachelor-level degree in the field (or higher), written using non-expert language. Trade articles are useful when you have begun learning about a topic, but don't yet hold the expertise required to read journal articles.

This section of your Mechanical Engineering Research Guide introduces you to some trade publications, and where you can find them - both in print in BCIT Library, and online.

You can also use AskAway, or visit the Research Desk at BCIT Library, if you would like help finding trade publications on a particular topic.
