Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

The RDI department helps BCIT foster a respectful and inclusive working and learning environment by creating awareness and belonging through education, events, and training. The RDI team provides assistance and support to individuals with concerns of bullying, harassment, and discrimination and strives to help people resolve conflicts informally. We also assist individuals who have formal complaints and coordinate workplace investigations.

The FSA’s Diversity Circles project is a partnership with other stakeholders at BCIT and exists alongside many other programs and initiatives supporting inclusion. Diversity Circles works towards a more respectful, diverse, and inclusive environment at BCIT by supporting all people.

Our focus at the Accessibility Services is to empower you to overcome the limits and barriers that you encounter during your studies, visible and invisible, permanent or temporary.

From state-of-the-art recreation services, to accessibility services for students with acute or chronic health issues, in-person or virtual counselling appointments, and resources that help students de-stress.

Peer tutors are available to help you learn and apply new course concepts and share learning strategies that have helped them succeed
